About Me
I believe that “living your best life” means always evolving. We never reach the point where we know it all, can do it all or have seen it all. Evolving means making incremental changes each day to know, do and see more. Evolving allows us to show up as our best self daily for ourselves and our communities.
Movement has always been a big part of my life. I have participated in a wide variety of activities such as competitive gymnastics, dance, distance running, yoga and bodybuilding. However, I developed my true passion for exercise when I began to understand the connection between physical and mental health. I learned that a negative mindset could be flipped around with a tough workout, and that when we push our physical limits, our mental strength also increases. I have used exercise as an outlet to overcome grief, loss, depression, and other challenges that nearly all of us are faced with at some point. Along with proper nourishment, movement helps me tap into my strength, confidence, balance and inner peace. I love helping others learn to do the same.
I have a lengthy background working in education which has given me the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the science and psychology behind motivation and goal-setting. I work with my clients to understand who you are as a person first. Then, we work on setting goals that matter to you, create a manageable plan to accomplish these goals, and repeat (always evolving!)
